Exhibition opportunity: Postcards from the Edge

The following is a great exhibition opportunity for a good cause.  It's one of those shows where you donate a work of art to support the charity.  I've done it myself!

CCSF: photo paper sale

Hi CCSF photographers!

I have a limited supply of Ilford VC RC 8x10 paper in pearl surface for sale today and tuesday during my supervisor shifts.  It is $0.60 per sheet.  Please bring cash only, and you need to bring an old photo paper box with black bag to put it in.  Only available as supplies last.

Update:  I will also have some 11x14" Ilford VC FB for $1.40/sheet (normally $2/sheeet).  I'm only bringing a limited supply Tuesday, but I have about 250 sheets back in my darkroom I am happy to bring.  You need a black bag & box, or to use it immediately, as I have no extra boxes.

CCSF: Guest blogger Lina and exhibition opportunity

Our classmate Lina Zhu has been ambitiously working to bring this opportunity to you. Please read the details below and respond as soon as possible to be included!

Phot 83: Student Exhibition Opportunity at 5 Sweets!

Greetings to my fellow classmates,
A local café called 5 Sweets just opened recently by the City College campus and it needs artwork to display on its walls! I talked with the owner and offered to organize an exhibit of photography from our View Camera class. Participation in this exhibit is totally optional, but I believe it will be a fun opportunity to show off the hard work you have put into this class over the past few months. The basic requirements are:

One 8x10” black and white print of your choosing (taken using a view camera)
Matted to fit an 11x14” frame
Your name, the title or location of the image if applicable, printing method
Some money (under $20) to contribute towards purchasing a frame that you will be able to keep

Hopefully, preparing the final portfolio will already help you to make a print for exhibition. I would like to gauge interest and confirm with the owner as soon as possible. Please email me if you are interested: linazhu11@gmail.com
